...has now acquired a fundamental role in “Sarrocchi”. This type of secondary school was created to fill up the gap produced by traditional scientific education. The role of lab activities is thus considered as essential as scientific and humanistic literacy.

The lab is seen as the unifying place for knowledge and know-how, for science and technology. Scientific hypothesis are developed and tested here, the efficacy of one’s own study or work method is experimented, and new skills are formed.

Therefore, teachers in the Scientific-Technological lyceum, especially those involved in the teaching of FL or Scientific subjects, integrate their frontal lessons with extremely updated technological equipment.

The peculiar structure of our school as well as its great variety of equipment and updated laboratories are the ideal setting for this type of secondary school, having every didactic activity its own technological support (Foreign Languages, Computer Science, Maths, Chemistry, Physics and Biology). The global school arrangement also facilitates human relations, cultural, technical and scientific knowledge exchange. This lively atmosphere has always characterised our lyceum and facilitated its own development.

This course is meant for students who intend to carry on with their studies at university. The creation of this type of secondary school meets the new needs of the academic world. Students ending the course are in fact able to adapt to the renewed university system, which now implements new technologies in almost every faculty.

Students who choose the scientific-technological lyceum naturally tend to choose scientific faculties. The balanced course of study, though, by unifying scientific and humanistic knowledge, builds up versatile personalities, able to apply their study method in every academic field.
